Frequently Asked Questions
If you have a question you don't see please reach out and we'll be happy to help!

How many dogs are in training at a time?

After nearly 2 decades of experience we have found that having more time for individual training and attention makes a huge difference, we strive to limit our training kamps to only 2 dogs in training at a time. We tend to book out in advance so please contact us today for scheduling!

How much does it cost?

Great question! Every dog and their training goals are different. We will discuss our training options and prices during our free initial consultation.

What Training equipment is needed/ included?

Everything you need for success is included in the price of the program! Typically this includes a long line waterproof leash, a place cot, a slip lead or training collar, and treats. For those wanting more advanced training/ off leash we use E collars (with vibration and low level tens stimulation to gain and maintain our dogs attention without a leash) All this and more is discussed during our free initial consultation.

Who will train my dog?

We are a 1 man show. I (Miles) personally train all the dogs that come through our program. Their success is my reputation.

Will my dog forget me during training?

Absolutely not! We promise they will remember you just fine and will be excited to see you and show off all the new things they've learned!

How old does my dog need to be for training?

For our training Kamps we recommend your dog be at least 4 months old with up to date vaccinations. For younger puppies we recommend our in home puppy pre school lessons to get them off to a great start!

Will I see my dog during training?

For our 2 and 3 week programs we will send daily updates with photos/ videos of your dogs training! For our daykamp program you will drop off your dog in the morning and pick them up in the evening.

Do you use food in training?

100% we do. All training begins with learning and marker training to teach positive behaviors, we then switch to an intermittent reward schedule to build consistency and reliability even when we do not have a treat (or rotisserie chicken in our pocket) because life happens and we still need our dog's training to be reliable.

Is your training off leash?

For clients wanting total off leash freedom we do offer packages for that, typically all of our training is done with a 15ft training leash (included in all programs)

Where will my dog sleep?

Your dog will sleep in our home. For the safety of everyone most dogs will sleep in their own crate overnight (~11pm-6am)
