Our K9 "Kamp"us is located on 5 Acres in East Manatee County. We're aprox. 15-25 min from LWR, 25-30 min from Downtown Bradenton/ Sarasota, 40 min from Brandon/ S. Tampa, 40 min from S. Sarasota/ Venice! Over 4k SF of K9 Adventure & Freedom awaits! While we're certain your dog will have a blast staying & playing @ The K9 Kamp, we offer in home programs as well. Owner and Professional Trainer Miles has worked in the K9 & dog training industry for 19+ years with all breeds in Sport, Pet, Personal Protection, and Assistance/ Service Dog Training. With vast experience in all aspects & styles of training; our programs assist in accomplishing all of your goals with your pup! We emphasize training each dog with a positively reinforced balanced approach; giving us complete obedience and reliability regardless of environment or distractions. We care for & train your dog as if it were our own.
Our Training Philosophy
Every dog is different and we take that into account with all of our training clients. We aren't a one size fits all training company; however most programs follow 3 science backed stages to success.
1) Marker Training - using food to teach, shape, and lure desired behaviors.
2) Leash Guidance- learning to follow the direction of the leash to steer and guide into obedience.
3) Proofing- making sure our dog can still accomplish all of their trained behaviors in the presence of distraction, other dogs, new environments, etc.
